Written for the med-advanced percussionist in mind, Luminous Shadows is long enough to challenge without overwhelming the ensemble.

Musical decision-making is required from performers as they emerge and retract from the musical spotlight, requiring each member to understand each teammate's role at all times.

This piece was written to bring light and inspiration to places where it is not obviously found. I encourage the performers to find beauty and peace inside the sometimes cluttered and chaotic phrases.
